Before presenting the collection and its concept, I would like to  quickly  come back on Duren's essence.

One blessed day, our designer was walking in the street when he came across a piece of crinkled paper tossed on the ground.

Staring at the poor thing, he could not help to feel that this object, though utterly banal, had a beauty of its own. It is from this very moment of illumination that crinkle leather was born.

Made out of leather and animal fiber, our objects have a carnal feeling. They are shaped and are given life within the hands of the one who possesses it. Their sharp and attractive line is the product of an imagination and a careful work worthy of those of a fetishist.

It is through this creative impulse that Duren gave existence to its work, as it is through its work that Duren sees its presence. This next generation is certainly more than mere bags.

Undeniably, globalization has brought rejuvenation to fashion. Cultural shocks  have allowed new aesthetics to  rise, rise,  merging  ostentatious  and anti-system culture. Unfortunately this golden age seems to have passed and nowadays we witness a saddening  stagnation. Fast fashion did not spare the industry,  as its production has become overly inorganic,  blasé, thoughtless.  One is forced to conceive, with certain melancholia, that such an evolution cannot be seen as a betterment.

It seems only natural that  street power  Indeed, branding itself as the counter-culture to what was mainstream, and by deconstructing previous norms, the movement replaced authenticity and spontaneity at the center. The revitalisation of fashion is in no doubt to be found there. Let us never forget that innovation is the fruit of fertile duality between creation and destruction.

Before talking about the concept of the collection
I would like to reiterate the'DUREN identity'.
At one point, I saw a notebook that was torn, rolled, and thrown away, and I felt it was beautiful.
And crinkle leather was born.

Leather and animal fibers are life-threatening.
The tools used are beautiful.
I want to design fetishistic gestures, behaviors and imaginations that occur from the perspective of the bag.
That is the reason why Düren exists in the world. This is a bag, but not a bag.

'About the collection'
Contrary to the good parts of globalism, fashion today is very inorganic, meaninglessly light and extremely neutral, which is also true in the world of mode.
It may be an era when fashion no longer requires humanity or national character.
Perhaps they are expecting the power of the street to counterculture for such an era.

In a sense, the primitive expression, which is impulsive and has a mixture of upstart spirit and dissident, feels nostalgic.
By no means do I think modern fashion is moving forward. Sad fashion may no longer be even culture. But creation and destruction are two sides of the same coin.

Ready-made values to take off.
Newly born modern times.
This collection is a cut-out of that process.
